Craftbelly was born in a basement in the wonderfully creative city of Chicago, IL. It started four years ago as an outlet for me to work with my hands using my favorite material, handmade decorative paper, and grew into something bigger when I realized I could share this beauty with others. I love the way the unique patterns and color schemes add spirit and personality to my favorite photos and art prints. The frame becomes more than just a way to display the picture, it enhances the entire experience.

In March 2014, I ran a successful Kickstarter campaign (see video below!) with the goal of raising enough money to print a new line of paper, designed by me. It had always been a dream of mine and the eventual direction I wanted my business to go in. The paper was screen printed in Chicago by a local printer, Reuse First, on paper made by French Paper Co. in Niles, Michigan. A new collection of products was instantly born, including original new frames, journals and notecards.

In the summer of 2014, I took the show on the road and moved to Denver, CO, another creative place that has been calling my soul for many years and has always inspired me. My location may have changed but my intentions as a maker and designer will always be the same: to create quality hand-crafted products featuring bold colors and patterns using materials sourced from the United States.  Working out of a small studio, I will continue to build my small business, with plans of releasing new designs and handcrafted products for years to come!
